Expert Knowledge.....Transforming your organisation!
Human Resource policies are guidelines and procedures which are captured in a handbook or manual and are essential in managing employment. When not properly prepared, policy and handbook development can create obstacles in the working environment. This is especially true if they are unclear, unwritten, and out of date or even illegal, and this can be worse than not having policies at all. The specificity of HR policies will be dependent on the organisation or the employer and will be based on elements such as the type of industry, the duties of the employee, the working environment and conditions, the structure of management and its philosophy and the culture of the company.
Consequently, a well-developed policy should be unique and reflect the existing practices, preferences and needs of that specific organisation. It should also reflect the distinctive history, culture, goals, and values as well the organisational structure and most specifically it must consider and include the laws and legislation of the country in which it is to implemented. AICL will work with clients to develop employee manuals and other HR policies. We will review existing handbooks and policies for legal compliance, make required updates, and provide practical suggestions based on the client’s needs and our experience with the application and utilisation of HR policies.
